Henrik Solberg
Henrik has worked with streaming infrastructure and IPTV operations in the Nordics for over nine years — first on the operator side, then as an editor and analyst for consumer-facing IPTV. He writes about what actually happens on the device: setup, performance, what stutters and why, and which choices truly matter when you pick a streaming solution that needs to last.
What Henrik covers
Technical guides and device evaluations. Henrik picks apart the differences between Smart TV models, Android boxes, Fire TV, MAG, and iOS hardware — without marketing jargon and without recommending devices he hasn't personally tested.
- IPTV fundamentals: what the abbreviation means, how the signal is packaged and delivered, what separates live TV from on-demand in practice.
- Devices and hardware: which box fits which use, what's wasted money and what holds up.
- Setup and troubleshooting: step-by-step guides that don't assume you work in IT.
Experience
Henrik started in streaming in 2017 and has since been involved in everything from server provisioning and load balancing to customer support and quality testing across more than a dozen device types. He has run IPTV connections in his own home since 2015, so he writes from lived experience and not from a product brochure.
He's based in Bergen and works closely with the operations team behind Asgard Streaming Services, so what gets published here is anchored in what actually works in practice — not a rewrite of a vendor's press release.
